They are the servants of Fate, guardians of the heavenly realms. They hold ancient, esoteric wisdom and act as scholars, viziers, and assassins. Sidereal powers revolve around indirect means of accomplishing tasks; when a Sidereal acts, he prefers that no one ever even knows they were involved. Sidereal Exalted also frequently possess martial arts. Indeed, Sidereal Exalted are noted as martial arts masters, and often develop entirely new martial arts.

Servants of the goddess Mercury , the Chosen of Journeys serve her as couriers and spies in the Golden Barque of the Heavens. A Chosen of Journeys can invoke his anima to make himself and those that travel with him uncannily fast. A Chosen of Serenity can invoke his anima to make himself and those that stand with him seem fascinating to others, particularly improving their use of the performing arts. A Chosen of Battles can extend his anima like a suit of armor, shielding himself and his allies from physical harm.

The goddess Jupiter acts as patron to these, the sorcerers and counselors of heaven, guiding the Chosen of Secrets from the Forbidding Manse of Ivy. A Chosen of Secrets can turn his anima into a field of secrecy, granting himself and his allies great protection from mental intrusion and harm. Many elder Sidereals have higher ranks in Luck Control to represent their higher level of control over the Loom.

Most Sidereals also have ranks in the Luck advantage. This is in addition to any complications the player may select for his character. This causes all traces of the Sidereal to eventually vanish from mortal minds, leaving behind only their deeds and not their identities.

While this can be beneficial in some ways, it tends to strike at the most inconvenient times. A Chosen of Journeys might abandon his comrades to seek freedom at a critical moment, while a Chosen of Endings might seek out the apparent root of his current problem to simply kill him even if it would cause problems later on. A Sidereal who pulls too hard at the strands of fate can face punishment by its automated systems. When a Sidereal spends a hero point to improve a die roll for himself, should he roll a natural 1 or a natural 20 on the subsequent reroll, he suffers power loss for the remainder of the scene.

This drawback does not apply for rerolls gained from the Luck advantage. Power loss does not affect artifacts, except in unusual cases. Thus, even if a character could normally choose to make a routine check such as from being in a non-stressful situation or the Skill Mastery advantage , activating a check-required power always requires a roll, and thus always invokes the possibility of power loss.

It was the Great Prophecy of the Sidereals that led to the murder and usurpation of the Solar Exalted , and the Sidereals have lurked in the shadows since then, manipulating the course of not only the Realm , but Creation as a whole. The Sidereals have been split into two factions, Bronze and Gold , since a disagreement over the fate of the Solar Exalted 1, years ago, and the Solars' return has led to a renewal of outright hostility between the two groups. The Sidereal Exalted are the administrators and maintainers of Creation, specifically charged by the Five Maidens to oversee the Loom of Fate and the management of destiny.

Presumably there could also be a faction devoted to the Yozis BrassFaction? There was a page here somewhere detailing Sidereal combat tactics, likely charm combinations etc but I can not seem to find it now. Could somebody point me in the right way please. The errata redirect seems to have a big problem with subpages. Someone code-literate wanna fix that? Problem resolved.

Regarding the COV virus and its effects: Things are frustrating, and confusing, and scary. People dream up conspiracy theories to help make sense of things. They're not helpful, though, and only serve to make the world more confusing and scarier. We're not going to have that here. And we swear to God, if anyone comes in here and starts spouting off QAnon bullshit about COVID or literally anything else, you are going to get permabanned so thoroughly that your grandchildren won't be allowed to post here.
