Also the emotions and shock you could feel in her writing was true heart rendering. I'm still amazed at how well she put it together. The book was full of action, heart break, sadness and the worst being betrayal. The strength of all involved was astounding. The book is excellent. Radclyff Wow This book was amazing for several reasons. Radclyffe entwined true life with fiction exceptionally well. You could read this as a one off but I personally wouldn't advise it.

Read from book one. The background to these characters are essential when understanding their commitment. Great book. Terrorism in the UK isn't unheard of and I grew up with it. So my heart go's out to all the victims and survivors.

Also their families and friends. Also lets not forget the emergency services who put their lives on the line daily. Thank you Radclyffe for an excellent book. My oh my This is one intriguing read. Full of action and drama which kinda keep you at the edge of your sleep, especially so in the last third of the book.

Aug 16, Ty rated it it was ok. I have been enjoying the honor series. There are flaws, to be sure. The romance is dramatic and overwritten as is typical of Radclyffe. The action is slower than it should be. Each book seems to focus on one dangerous event, and the build up is always more drawn out than it should be.

The conflict is also rarely resolved until the next book, even after all the build up. But despite that, the series is engaging enough to be entertaining. I really had a problem with this one, though. If you're g I have been enjoying the honor series. And using a real event to fit into an alternate universe, an alternate universe where you change who the president is during an attack, is not the way to go.

Adding American co-conspirators to that attack in order to advance a fictional plot is completely disrespectful of what the country went through on that day. Maybe the issue is time. I can read a fictional story that takes place during WWII and not be bothered much by the writer taking liberties.

When this was written, I don't think it had even been five years. We're still healing. Oct 07, Choko rated it really liked it Shelves: gay , ff. This series is character and relationship driven and the plot is just a background, so I will not take away points for that. And as cheese as the loving couples were, I remember a time in my relationship when "I love you! That is a blissful time and is better the longer it lasts. So I can understand the cheesiness. I just had no idea it is so annoying from the outside and in a book.

But I also know how hard it is to keep a reader interested in a couple who is settled in their love and there is no newness of discovery or intensity of new sex which keeps the audience riveted So, given all that, I think Radcliffe has done a darn good job at sizzling and making us come back for more ; Aug 21, Justina Johnson rated it it was amazing Shelves: intrigue , f-f , romantic , historical. This is a truly wonderful story focusing on the events and likely situations that very well may have occurred leading up to, during, and following the shattering happenings on September 11, The national and global implications blast across the pages while two love affairs act like bookends to comprise and reflect these shocking days.

The larger-than-life women caught within this staggering turmoil drew me into their hearts and concerns. I do believe the impact I experienced was larger afte This is a truly wonderful story focusing on the events and likely situations that very well may have occurred leading up to, during, and following the shattering happenings on September 11, I do believe the impact I experienced was larger after having completed the first three volumes of this series, but I feel that if this is the only book within the collection you read, I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed.

Sensationally stupefying! The primary pair that meets in the first monograph grows closer and more intimate within this fourth presentation. Blair Allison Powell is the daughter and only child of the president of the Unites States. Cameron Roberts, Cam, is Blair's chief secret service security officer. The necessary elaborate structures that encompass defending such a significant individual like Blair are not only eye-opening, but spectacularly engaging.

Interestingly by the time this book unfolds, Blair has acquired a greater appreciation for the team that oversees her ongoing safety as she accepts the single-minded focus of her lover and associates.

Apart from the high tension and escalating levels needed to keep such a noticeable person safe, there is a delightfully amusing interplay between Blair and her exceptional protectors. As the chief of this crew and Blair's stunningly beautiful lover, Cam is unquestionably electrifying. This couple just blows me away again and again! A fascinating complementary and new twosome is highlighted in this narration. The recently appointed lead secret service agent, Paula Stark, and a recuperating FBI operative, Renee Savard, sense a rapidly ripening fondness and steamy undercurrent as both women feel their growing closeness and physical affinity in a manner relatively new to both of them.

This blossoming relationship is a magnificent counterpoint to Blair and Cam and a refreshingly original duo. Renee is singularly focused on not only making the grade and then some, but moving upward within the predominantly male FBI. Paula is singularly focused on having her chief, Cam, recognize and reward her efforts in addition to also moving up the ranks.
